Police Blotter: Unwanted Party and Tree Fight

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:

6:41 a.m. Someone from Evergreen called in to report that there was a man parked near the fire station who looked unresponsive. Deputies checked on him. He was fine, but still arrested on outstanding warrants.

1:58 p.m. A transient who was trying to panhandle outside a gas station in Evergreen was asked to leave. He did.

2:19 p.m. A man from Libby called in to say that his ex-roommate was having a party at his home in Libby. Also, the washer and dryer had been stolen.

3:05 p.m. A call was made about a distressed elk that was entwined in rope.

3:33 p.m. A Coram resident called in to complain that their neighbor was cutting their tree branches and burning them. The two worked out their problems. However, the caller was arrested on outstanding warrants.

5:39 p.m. A man called in to report that while driving down West Valley Drive kids in the truck in front of him opened the back window and shot paintballs at him.

8:15 p.m. Kalispell residents were counseled after recreationally burning trash in a west side alley.

8:15 p.m. An old man ran off and was found at the Silverado Casino.

8:38 p.m. Four trespassing kids were told to stay off the neighbor’s property.

3:40 a.m. A woman called in because she heard a man cough outside her window. The sick man was gone when deputies arrived.
