Polson Woman Gets 5-Year Sentence for 11th DUI

By Beacon Staff

POLSON – A 55-year-old Polson woman who prosecutors say has 11 DUI convictions has been sentenced to five years under the supervision of the state Department of Corrections.

Marilyn R. Adams appeared before District Judge C.B. McNeil on Wednesday after she was arrested in Pablo in November on suspicion of driving drunk. Adams was sentenced as a persistent felony offender.

Lake County Deputy Attorney Cory Allen says Adams’ latest conviction violated the probation conditions of a 2007 DUI conviction.

McNeil ruled that Wednesday’s sentence will run consecutive to any punishment Adams might receive for violating her parole.
