Possible Theft and an Injured Squirrel

8:21 a.m. Several windows were forcibly removed from a dump truck and excavator in Hungry Horse.

9:12 a.m. A newspaper rack was stolen from an Evergreen gas station.

9:51 a.m. Four horses appeared to be lacking access to food and water. Further investigation revealed that they were completely fine.

9:58 a.m. A puppy was wandering about on St. Andrews Drive in Columbia Falls. It was escorted to the shelter.

11:22 a.m. A barking dog ran at large in Lake Blaine Drive.

12:38 p.m. Someone stole a license plate from a recreational vehicle.

12:56 p.m. An individual is watching his brother’s property and has a sneaky suspicion that items have been stolen. He cannot, however, pinpoint exactly which items are missing so the issue is on hold until the brother’s return.

1:12 p.m. A West Bowman Drive resident called to report that there was an injured squirrel in his yard. Authorities arrived to find the creature deceased.

1:43 p.m. Someone was selling tools out of the back of his truck in Whitefish. The items were verified as legitimate and had not been stolen.

239 p.m. A pit bull in Olney thinks it is great fun to chase a neighbor while she is riding her four-wheeler. The neighbor does not agree.

3:08 p.m. Three dogs chained outside an Evergreen home aroused suspicions of animal neglect. Authorities responded and found the dogs to be happy and healthy.

4:49 p.m. A resident of Kings Way has evidently been taking her housemate’s food out of the fridge. This irritates the individual who purchased the food.

5:02 p.m. Someone was concerned that a Cottonwood Drive resident might be doing drugs in front of his children. The claim was found to be completely untrue.

5:20 p.m. A man on a bicycle was swearing and approaching other individuals on the bike path. He was located and escorted to jail for disorderly conduct.

6:27 p.m. A grass fire smoldered in Helena Flats.

6:47 p.m. A man described only as “not wearing a shirt” and driving a nondescript vehicle may have pulled up in front of a group of children and taken their picture.

8:20 p.m. Three teen males were engaged in a fistfight in Hungry Horse. All parties were located and counseled.

8:26 p.m. A transient individual was sleeping off his buzz in the bathroom of a local gas station.

8:35 p.m. A 17-year-old male was huffing dust remover in the electronics department of an Evergreen big box store.

8:50 p.m. Someone reports that a subcontractor is making threats over the phone regarding payment for services.

9:58 p.m. A blue Chevy Blazer was ablaze on College Avenue.

11:02 p.m. An older model Jeep Wagoneer was racing up and down the street at a local trailer court. The vehicle evidently had a very loud muffler.

12:45 a.m. Three or four intoxicated individuals engaged in a verbal argument in Lakeside.
