Rangers Recover Body of Missing Glacier Park Hiker
Flathead County coroner confirmed the remains were those of Jakson Kreiser
WEST GLACIER — Glacier National Park rangers have recovered the body of a 19-year-old Michigan man who failed to return from a hike on July 28.

Park officials say some hikers found human remains in an area southwest of Hidden Lake Thursday. The Flathead County coroner confirmed the remains were those of Jakson Kreiser of Hudsonville, Mich. An autopsy is planned.

The search for Kreiser began on July 29 and was focused between Hidden Lake and Avalanche Lake.

Kreiser was a seasonal employee with Glacier Park Inc. at Lake McDonald Lodge. It was his first year working in the area.

His family held a memorial service on Aug. 17. His obituary said that "...Jakson found heaven with an endless view of snow-capped mountains, tumbling waterfalls and cool glacial lakes."
