Rehberg: Obama Unlikely to Win Montana

HELENA – U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg says he does not believe Montana is a presidential battleground.

The Montana Republican says the state party is telling Sen. John McCain to focus his campaign effort on other states.

Rehberg says Democrat Barack Obama is not going to be able to overcome the state's strong conservative tradition when it comes to presidential elections.

The congressman says the state GOP, with the help of money raised by Rehberg, is going to be able deliver the state for McCain. He pointed to joint campaign offices recently set up by the Republicans.

Obama, meanwhile, has dedicated time and money to Montana. He has several offices in the state, hired full-time staffers and spent money on TV ads. He has also visited five times.

Well at least Rehberg and Obama have a few things in common. One is they like to spend our money. Rehberg is not a conservative and has learned a lot from Max in his 8 years in congress. Rehberg doesn’t have those slogans out like 11-thousand new highways jobs, or…
