Rempe Leads Glacier Swimmers to Victory at Kalispell Meet
Wolfpack Dominates Kalispell Invitational

Congratulations to the Glacier High School boys swim team, which dominated Saturday’s five-team invitational meet in Kalispell. The Wolfpack, led by senior standout Philip Rempe, finished with 294 points to take the title. The next closest team was Missoula Big Sky/Loyola Sacred Heart with 184, followed by Missoula Hellgate (164), Flathead (160) and Missoula Sentinel (129).

The Glacier girls team finished third with 233.5 points, finishing behind second-place Missoula Hellgate (237) and winter Missoula Sentinel (270.5). Missoula Big Sky/Loyola Sacred Heart finished fourth with 153 points and Flathead came in fifth with 119.

Rempe won the backstroke with a time of 58.84 seconds and the 100 butterfly at 55.01 seconds. The next closest finisher in the butterfly was teammate Brian Hoffman at 1:03.38. Rempe was also on the winning relay team in the 400 freestyle. Last year, Rempe finished in the top five at the state championships in two events: fourth in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:04.45 and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly at 55.26.
