Bigfork always seems to produce a hero in the playoffs, and this time it was Boyd Rieke’s turn to play the role.

The Vikings were trailing Choteau 25-21 in the fourth quarter of the Class B football playoffs last week when Rieke powered into the end zone on an 18-yard touchdown. Bigfork (8-1) held on to win 28-25 at home and advance to this week’s quarterfinals.

The Vikings will travel to Forsyth to play the Dogies tomorrow at 1 p.m. Here's the bracket.

Rieke finished last week's game with 180 yards and three touchdowns. Bigfork quarterback Colter Trent was 10-of-20 for 144 yards passing. Chris Landon had five catches for 67 yards and Austin Jordt caught three passes for 55 yards. Landon and Jordt also had interceptions on defense along with Blake Weimer.

Manhattan Christian eliminated Eureka from the playoffs, 41-16.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
