‘Road Rage’ Incident Leads to Fight on U.S. 93 near Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

An apparent “road rage” incident led to an altercation in the parking area between two businesses on U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell.

According to Kalispell Police Patrol Capt. Tim Falkner, the incident occurred before noon on May 9, and it was reported that shots were fired.

“There was a report that possibly a gun shot was heard,” Falkner said. “We can’t confirm that at this point.”

The incident, which Falkner believes was sparked by road rage, led to an altercation in the parking lot near the Harley Davidson shop.

“They did get into a scuffle,” Falkner said.

One of the subjects was questioned by officers, Falkner said, while the other ended up fleeing the scene. Officers were still looking for the suspect as of Thursday afternoon, Falkner said.
