The Bigfork Vikings almost played the role of spoiler in Thursday’s Northwest A nightcap, but Ronan’s Moss Tanner made four free throws in the final 10 seconds to seal the Chiefs’ 61-56 win.

Tanner provided much of No. 3 Ronan’s scoring throughout the contest with a game-high 26 points, including the game’s final four points. No. 6 Bigfork was led by Roland Benedict’s 14 points, none more important than a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter to draw the Vikings within three points, 59-56.

Nolan Harris, Northwest A’s second leading 3-point shooter had three triples, two of which came from long range late in the game. Levi Docksteader added 13 points for Bigfork.

Ronan moves on to face No. 2 Columbia Falls on Friday at 8 p.m.
