Riding Big Dance
The Smith Valley Saddle Club carries on the O-Mok-See tradition with a weekend of games at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. The word O-Mok-See comes from the Blackfeet Indian phrase 'riding big dance'. The first valley games where held in Columbia Falls in 1949. Smith Valley Saddle club will host nationals in July 2010.
