Sports Poster Scam Hits Flathead Valley
Phony invoices have been circulating the valley and targeting residents and businesses
Phony invoices have been circulating the valley and targeting residents and businesses to try to collect money for advertisements in the upcoming Flathead High School fall sports poster, according to Kalispell Public Schools and the high school.

A company calling itself Sports Media from Milford, Conn., has contacted several local businesses over the past year with an invoice titled “Flathead High School 2012 Fall Sports Poster.” The company most recently made off with $139 after one charge.

Officials with the activities departments for each district site are who solicit all advertisements for legitimate sports posters.

The school district is encouraging businesses and residents not to respond or supply any information to Sports Media and to contact the Kalispell District Central Office at 751-3434 if an invoice is received.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
