Stephen Colbert Chooses Montana Man as ‘Alpha Dog’

Over at NewWest.Net, Courtney Lowery points out this clip that ran last week on Comedy Central’s Colbert Report. In it, Stephen Colbert chooses Erik Slye, of Belgrade, the “Alpha Dog of the Week.” Slye recently made waves by submitting a “vulgarity-laced affidavit” in response to Gallatin County’s request that he report for jury duty.

From the Associated Press:

"Apparently you morons didn't understand me the first time. I CANNOT take time off from work. I'm not putting my family's well-being at stake to participate in this ####," begins the notarized affidavit submitted to the Gallatin County District Court last January by Erik A. Slye.


Slye’s wife apparently wrote the affidavit. Here’s Colbert’s take:
