Tanner Hall Returns to Winter X Games

Tanner Hall is back.

The Kalispell native and iconic freeskier who suffered major injuries in recent years is returning to the Winter X Games stage that vaulted his legendary career. Hall, 29, is competing in Aspen this week for the first time in four years.

The X Games are Thursday-Sunday. Hall will compete in the first event, the Men’s Ski SuperPipe elimination round on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Events will be televised on ESPN.

Before being injured, Hall collected medals at X Games for nine straight years, including seven golds, and became the first person to three-peat in two events, Ski SuperPipe and Slopestyle.

After extensive rehabilitation from injury, Hall is back in the competition circuit with his sights on the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The upcoming games will feature men’s and women’s ski halfpipe events for the first time.
