U.S. Senator Jon Tester will discuss the upcoming national economic recovery plan during a speech to Montana lawmakers Friday afternoon.
Tester, a former President of the Montana Senate, will address a joint session of the 61st Montana Legislature around 1:30 p.m. in the Montana House of Representatives in Helena.
The U.S. Senate is currently working on an historic jobs and infrastructure measure to rebuild the nation’s struggling economy.
After voting against both the $700 billion Wall Street bailout and the recent bailout for the automotive industry, Tester repeatedly called for a long-term economic recovery plan that “rebuilds the economy from the ground up by putting folks back to work and investing in infrastructure.”
