The Illusion of Choice
Letter
I read recently where Kalispell’s mayor and city council could not come to a decision on the city airport, so they are going to “let the voters decide.”

So, what do we get to decide? Whether we pay for the improvements to the airport with taxes taken directly from our wallets by the mayor and the city council, or we pay for the improvements with taxes taken directly from our wallets by the FAA and then given to the mayor and city council.

Since we are placing an issue on the ballot anyway, how about a third choice? Keep your hands out of my wallet altogether!

Kalispell’s mayor and city council like to pass themselves off as moderates, but they seem like liberals when it comes to tax and spend!

Mr. Funk, did you do your due diligence and see where the FAA funds come from… I’ts not your wallet unless you fly. i.e. the AIP funds are 100% funded by aviation.
