Thompson Falls Man Sentenced for Drunk Driving Fatalities

By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA — A Thompson Falls man who killed a man and his fiancee in a drunk driving crash that also injured two children has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 20 years suspended.

The Missoulian reports that 46-year-old Lance Pavlik was sentenced last week by Sanders County Judge C.B. McNeil.

Pavlik in January pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence following a head-on crash in September that killed 32-year-old Jeremiah Abel Bennett of Thompson Falls and his fiancee, 23-year-old Christina Rae Jackson of Noxon.

Bennett’s children, ages 4 and 2, were injured. Court records say Pavlik’s blood-alcohol level was 0.245, or just over three times the legal limit, shortly after the crash.
