A list labeled “people to kill” shook up students and school officials at Bigfork High School last Thursday, prompting an investigation and three students to remain home from school Friday.
No suspects had been identified as of Tuesday, said Luke Foster, the school’s resource officer of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department.
The list, which included three names written on a piece of toilet paper, was found in a restroom by a student Thursday and turned in to a teacher. School officials notified the three listed students and their parents, and asked that the students stay home from school on Friday while officials investigated.
The students returned to class Monday.
Bigfork high school principal Thom Peck, superintendent Russ Kinzer and Foster reviewed surveillance video from outside the bathroom to determine what students had entered the bathroom previous to the note being found. They interviewed around 20 students, but found no leads, Foster said.
“At this point there are no substantial leads, so we’re on a higher watch, keeping a closer eye on things, and continuing to look for suspects,” Foster said.
