According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper John Underwood, a Columbia Falls man was driving south on U.S. Highway 93 when he crossed four lanes of traffic and drove his Pontiac Grand Prix into the opposite lane. The vehicle hit a northbound car carrying two Whitefish residents. The passenger of the second vehicle was taken to North Valley Hospital and the two drivers were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
