Tourism Office Launches Statewide Snow Report Website

By Beacon Staff

Take notice powder hounds. There’s a new source for inquiring minds wondering where the best snow in the state can be found.

The Montana Office of Tourism recently launched a statewide snow report website that aggregates individual reports from ski resorts across the state. The site lists new snowfall, summit depth and number of lifts in operation.

“We’re excited to be able to offer Montanans this resource,” said Commerce Director and avid skier Meg O’Leary. “Snow is an essential part of winter tourism and stimulates economic activity. Having immediate, real-time updates for all of our ski resorts in one spot is priceless.”

Skiers can sign up for a Montana Snow Report e-mail or subscribe to the Ski Area Snow Conditions RSS Feed and receive a daily ski conditions report delivered daily.
