Two Killed in Crash Near Kalispell

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 24-year-old man from Columbia Falls and a 22-year-old woman from Kalispell were killed in a one-vehicle crash on Montana 35 east of Kalispell.

The patrol says the car was westbound at about 4 a.m. Sunday when it went off the road and into the ditch. The car struck a metal light pole, breaking it at the base, and then struck an embankment.

Shayla Marie Dunlap was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. David Ampudia died of his injuries at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
