Lincoln County authorities say a 67-year-old man was apparently shot to death at a campground near Libby over the weekend, and two suspects were being questioned.
Heather Henson, 19, of Kalispell, and an unidentified juvenile remain jailed in Flathead County.
The victim’s body was found around 5 a.m. Sunday, at the Sylvan Lake Campground in the Kootenai National Forest southwest of Libby.
Authorities say the two fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. No motive has been established.
The man’s name and hometown haven’t been released. His body was taken to the state crime lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information on an adult male who provided the two detained suspects a ride to Sylvan Lake on July 12. He is being sought as a possible witness. Anyone with information on the homicide should call 406-293-4112, ext. 236.
