Some of Shakespeare's greatest works are being performed in Columbia Falls this summer and next week will be your last chance to enjoy the Columbia Mountain Theater Company's “Shakespeare Makes A Scene.” The two-person show is being performed at the Tea Kettle Community Center in Columbia Falls.

The group's goal is to bring theater to the masses in an accessible and inexpensive manner. The first performance is the creation of Jeremias and Sally Johnson and is described as “a fun and enlightening romp through some of (Shakespeare's) best scenes woven together with some surprising twists.” The performance promises to explore the tumultuous and tragic relationships of men and women often found in Shakespeare's work. One of the highlights is Hamlet acted out by puppets.

The final performances of “Shakespeare Makes A Scene” are on Aug. 3 and 4 and starts at 7 p.m. at the Tea Kettle Community Center at 235 Nucleus Ave. For more information visit www.columbiamountaintheaterco.org.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
