Vikings Riding Nine-Game Streak, Secure District Title
Vikings finish the regular season at third-ranked Florence (14-1) on Friday
The Bigfork Vikings are the top-ranked boys basketball team in Class B and enjoying a nine-game win streak. Bigfork is 13-3 overall, 7-0 in District 7-B and secured the conference title last weekend with a 67-22 victory over Troy. Bigfork finishes the regular season at third-ranked Florence (14-1) on Friday.
In last week’s Associated Press poll, Malta (15-1) was ranked second in Class B behind Bigfork. Missoula Loyola (11-5) was fourth behind Florence and Forsyth (14-2) was fifth.
The Bigfork girls are 5-11 overall and 3-4 in conference. In the Class B girls poll, Fairfield (15-0) is ranked No. 1, followed by Townsend (15-0), Malta (15-1), Colstrip (16-1) and Deer Lodge (14-1).
