Wardens Seek Info on Two Deer Poaching Cases

By Beacon Staff

Wildlife officers are looking for information into two poaching incidents that were recently reported during the general hunting season in Northwest Montana.

A cow elk was shot and left to waste near Highway 83 and Soup Creek in the Swan on the evening of Nov. 22 or the early morning hours of Nov. 23, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Two whitetail bucks were also shot and left on Kuhns Road in Whitefish on the night of Nov. 30 or Dec. 1. The suspect vehicle may be a dark colored sedan, possibly dark blue, according to FWP.

Anyone with any information on either of these cases can call 1-800-TIPMONT, or contact FWP Warden Sergeant Nathan Reiner at 751-4592.
