POLSON – A Washington state man pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Lake County District Court to charges of rape, robbery and tampering with evidence.
Ismael Orduno of Grandview, Wash., is accused of dragging a woman into the men's restroom of a Polson tavern on July 28 and raping her. The 21-year-old Orduno is also accused of stealing money from the woman's purse and later changing shirts with another man to conceal his identity.
According to court records, some of the alleged actions were captured by a surveillance camera.
Over prosecutors' objections, District Judge C.B. McNeil approved a request for bail to be reduced from $100,000 to $25,000.
Orduno is due back in court for an omnibus hearing Sept. 17.
