Wolves and Prime Rib: November in Columbia Falls

Although Columbia Falls may have a had a quiet election this year, Barry Conger over at the First Best Place Task Force gives a look at other events going on in the Falls.

If you're interested in wolves in Montana (this year's hunting season may have piqued some more interest), there's a talk on Thursday about the predator.

November 5th 7pm, Glacier Discovery Square; Society of American Foresters presents: "Wolves: Recent Past and Near Future of the Wolf in NW Montana." Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Biologist and Wolf Specialist, Kent Louden will present an informative evening about the Northern Gray Wolf in Montana. Updates on population trends, home range, distribution, food sources, and field research. A question and answer forum will follow the presentation.

November 6th, First Friday Music at Coffee Traders Pines Cafe; Live music from Andre Floyd. Coffee Traders will be serving up another delicious dinner - Entree this month is PRIME RIB! From 5:30 - 8:30pm.

November 17th 6pm to 8pm, Habitat for Humanity presents an informational meeting about their new Columbia Falls Project. Habitat is conducting a Community Needs Assessment as part of the ongoing development of their 16 unit project in our town. Come learn more about the project and specific funding opportunities they are pursuing. Free and open to the public. Coffee and treats will be served!

After November, be sure to check out the holiday celebrations in early December.
