The crash on U.S. Highway 93 closed the highway for several hours
A three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 near Evaro killed a 21-year-old woman from Plains, seriously injured a 21-year-old Arlee man and closed the highway for several hours.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the Arlee man was northbound on Evaro Hill at about 3:25 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his Toyota pickup. The Toyota pickup sideswiped a Dodge pickup, bounced off the guardrail and hit the passenger side of a Ford Ranger pickup. The Plains woman was a passenger in the Ranger.
Trooper Philip Smart says the Arlee man was being treated in the intensive care unit at a Missoula hospital.
Smart says three members of a Ronan family in the Dodge pickup were treated at the hospital and released while the driver of the Ranger suffered minor injuries.
