Comments on: A Nation of Pigs

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. Given Dave’s column, I think it would be sooey-cide.

Bravo….  everyone wants to shoot the neighbors “pig”, but my pig is special.  Until we “all” realize that my pig is a big part of the problem…  i.e. “look in the mirror”, this nation will continue on a path to collapse.  Me thinks though that perhaps it is already to late.

It seems there was a day when 1375 able bodied irrigators could show up, chip in, probably provide the equipment, to replace “their own” siphon. But then I would suppose that they would end up in federal, state, and local courts if they actually had the ambition to do so.

Dave,

Thanks for the URL to the list. Some interesting stuff there.

Re: “The Billings Clinic wants $500,000 for “controlled access technology” (security).“

I think this means mag card, keypad or biometric entry access systems. Security is a constant battle for these facilities.

Earlier this year, a level 3 sex offender attempted to approach a Billings women’s facility (Im not sure if its the same clinic or not). A level 3 sex offender is a person who is considered to be at high risk of committing another sex crime. If they have served their sentence, they are out in public.

Fortunately, this guy was required to wear a cell-enabled GPS ankle bracelet and his location was being monitored by a real-time monitoring system that automatically notifies law enforcement when his location demands it.

As a result, 14 minutes of penetrating the perimeter of the off-limits zone around this facility, this creep was in the back of a patrol car.

That’s a great quote from John Adams, and I must say we’re very near the point of suicide. Eight years of Obama will do the trick.
