Mcain lost because he didn’t appeal to their base. When republicans controlled congress they proved they were not into problem solving and they certainly were not fiscally conservative. You put the popularity of Bush with all those things and a faltering economy and guess what…we now have Obama. It doesn’t matter what candidates the republicans put out there in 2008, they didn’t stand a chance and I place all the blame on the republicans in Congress and Bush.
Most of America ends up somewhere in the center from a politics standpoint. Now that Obama has shown his true colors the American people will elect more centrists next year just like we did when Clinton was in office. History has proven time and time again that one party having control of everything is a bad recipe for disaster.

Mooseberry… what a strange screen name. If you are not a hunter, you probably don’t know what mooseberries are. Well, the awful truth is they are the piles of poop that can be quite large in the case a moose. Deer and elk leave smaller piles, but they are all piles of the same small berry shape. I don’t want to pay $250,000 annually for Private Security Contractors as bodyguards for politicians or salesmen looking for profits.
The Romans, Alexander the Great, the English Empire, Ghenkis Khan and the Soviet Union have proven there is no way for a military force to conquer that region.
Yet War Hawks who never served in uniform and dodged the draft for ten years during Viet Nam, are screaming that this President charge in with no long-term plan for victory or exit strategy.
People who failed at everything attempted during eight years in office—Well, except for shooting a hunting companion—should shut up and go suck their thumb in the corner.

However, after attending ‘free’ public schools for 12 years these college kids are now be PAYING to attend classes (albeit at a state or federally funded instituition).
Thank goodness they ARE there so they can *at least*
