Comments on: As Levies Fail, School Funding Fix Elusive

By JD on 05-22-08

I think the answer is incredibly simple.  The schools can just bill the family of each student to cover the costs.
We’ve been paying $400 per month per child for years to go to private school, and it’s not like we can afford it, trust me.  Knowing what public school is all about, we think we can’t afford not to. It’s worth it!  That monthly expense is simply “instead of” the big house on the hill, or new cars and boats.  It’s a sacrifice, yes.
Remember we’re paying the taxes to send kids not related to us to school on top of the tuition for our own, also.  That isn’t right.

You cannot fix what is beyond broken. Education needs to become privatized, that is the only moral and effective solution.
