Comments on: At Baucus Town Hall, a Distinct Lack of Screaming

Baucus…what a worm.
By Roark on 08-17-10
The only townhall with Baucus I look forward to attending is the ballot box in November ‘12 when he’ll be sent packing. His replacement will have to work diligently to fix the massive Constitutional damage Baucus has wreaked on Montana and the USA.

Shows what you know, Roark. Baucus was re-elected in ‘08.

that’s all you have Max or KN?.. You are not for Montanans. Max is here to build a legacy with all your cronies in DC. Have another drink you lush. KN is that all the substance you have. Get rid of this maneur like Max and KN support.

So why is it that you all hate baucus? Is it because he’s anti-gay marriage? Or because he is seen by the Republican led US Chamber of commerce as “Pro-business”? Maybe you hate him because he has always voted in favor of gun rights and opposes increased gun regulation? Do you hate him because he has fought to reduce tax-subsidies for companies that ship jobs oversees?
No, I got it. You hate him because he voted for the Bush tax cuts, right?
Besides health reform, this guy has voted more like a Republican than most Republicans. And he is even siding with Republicans on immigration and spending cuts. But I’m sure in your minds his voting record is irrellevant because you got emailed a youtube video of him that made him look drunk. Bravo geniuses.
So yes please, vote him out. Chances are we will get a middle of the road Republican that is more liberal than Baucus.

They hate Max because he has a ‘D’ next to his name. That’s the only reason the un-hinged rightwingnuts care about.

Oh - I don’t know Hamm…
You and yours have presented some pretty flimsy facts here yourselves…
“…what a worm.”
“..hot air, no definition.”
“Have another drink you lush.”
Yup, All excellent points for sure. But maybe you have something better…Something that shows you can actually form an argument based on fact?
Hint: Roark- Maybe your missive on the massive consitutional damage wreaked?
By Kalispell Native on 08-17-10
I didn’t know hammer spoke French: maneur.
That he makes up unsupported conclusions of my existence comes as no surprise. You need to stop making allegations without evidence, hammer. Your (now removed) remark got the NYC Islamic Community Center comments shut down.

Max Baucus, strictly from his votes as a Senator, is a disgrace to liberty and the US Constitution. This link is enough evidence to expose his utter disregard for the fundamentals of freedom and personal resp. And yes his “morals” are pathetic as well. Vud, below is your proof positive of his massive Const. damage that you are either blind to or do not care to examine.

I will return later to post a laundry list of Baucus love of all things government, including exposing the farce Chamber of Commerce, and his “pro” gun rights malaraky. Stay tuned for a whopper…

“The NTU favors either a Flat Tax or the FairTax (a national sales tax with rebate) for the United States, as opposed to the current income tax system now in use.[2] The organization argues in favor of the line-item veto for the president. [3] NTU generally opposes crop subsidies by the government (such as for sugar and ethanol).[4] The organization’s briefs and policy papers decry the “death tax,” (a tax on estates)[5] and supports deregulation.[6]”

Ah yes… “Baucus was noncommittal…”
You have to admire this guy. He has the fine art of playing both sides of the fence down pat.
Pro-gun? Isn’t this the same Max Baucus who cast both the single swing votes on pass/fail procedural votes on both the Brady Bill and the Feinstein semi-auto and magazine bans? The Max Baucus who had previously swore he’d never vote for gun control?
The two “progressive” judges Baucus just voted to put on the Supreme Court… it never crossed his mind in looking at their records of how they’ll vote on gun rights issues?
He’s generally had a pretty good record on gun rights, but Brady and the two judges he just helped stick us with don’t make him my pick of the litter.
My main complaint with Baucus is he apparently doesn’t have a problem with the spend, spend, spend mentality with this latest administration.
Baucus reminds me of a well known politician from times past. When he was asked his secret to political success, he said “I watch to see which way the parade is going. And then I race up and get in the front of it.”.
