Well, why not?  I’m sure he’s been paid enough, it doesn’t impact him at all, and he’ll be retiring soon anyway.

We need Term Limits.

Shame on both parties. Dems on one side GOP on the other, no matter what the issue voted on. Our politicians are out for themselves. The term bipartisan has no real meaning. Our elected officials don’t work together, they only work along party lines. Look at this mess. One party actually locks the other out of the meetings. Neither can admit to reading the bill before voting. One Senator holds out her vote for $100M in pork. Health care is just another tool of the power play. We’ve got to end career politicians and lessen the abilities of lobbyists.

Working together for the common cause is just an old catch phrase. It’s for too long become “us or them” not what’s “right or wrong.“

Our political system is not one based on success for the future but the power of re-election and cow towing to the party leaders. The politicians want us to believe the other side does not have one good contributing idea. I don’t believe that.

Max , tell me why you and others made it a career and not a 4-8 year “service” as was intended by our forefathers? No such thing as too much of a good thing?

We need to end career politicians by insisting on term limits.

Thanks Max. No doubt you have done some good things but do us a favor before you go, push for term limits. Bring a real meaning to bi-partisanship.
