I think as long as the ability to take a picture has been around, people have had their picture taken with that big fish they hooked, that large deer they bagged, that high mountain they climbed, or in my case all the huckleberries I managed to pick ! I think there is nothing wrong with being proud of your accomplishment. I suppose many do not understand the amount of time, and hard work a person puts into their hunt ( There are many that even after that will go home empty handed). I see nothing wrong with it ( us humans are terrible braggers, I think we just kinda like the attention ?) I guess it would’nt hurt if they would go ahead and post a picture of their freezer full of white wrapped packages of meat, that way others could rest assured that not only was it a heck of a picture, but also a heck of a freezer full as well ! Then again at times we find that we end up on opposit sides of a fence with others, and there is no gate…...... Thats most likely where this will lead !

agree “missedyourmark”. I look at this as comparable to a porn site and wouldn’t go there either. My hopes are that now they will stop publishing the disgusting pictures on the front page of the papers. If I want to look at dead bodies I’ll check out the road kill. The excuse of feeding their families is long gone. With the price of guns, ammunition, 4-wheelers, trailors, shelters, booze and food you could stock up for months for what the hunting trip costs. No doubt in my mind it’s a good chance for bonding and enjoying the great outdoors. Just unfortunate something has to lose it’s life over the “fun”. Before someone jumps in their with the same tired ridiculous expression…......I am for ever and always a Montanan.

Why not photograph are you afraid it will steal your soul?There is nothing wrong with a photograph of a hunt or fishing trip.Avert your eyes or do not log onto a site that has these types of activities and you lessen your chance of being offended.

My message was not from the bible. It was from my heart. You can use the bible in any context that suits your purpose. It obviously contains everything everyone would need to promote anything your heart desires. Oh yes, I have read the bible many times and have seen the excuses man has for his treatment of animals and women. So don’t spout your religion at me, those of you GWH’s do commit murder. Your bible and your “religion” gives you permission. My God does not! Oh I forgot, these animals are your “sacrifice” to your god right? Brent, although I would not have worded it quiet as you just did, I can well understand what you are saying !! I have to say you have a gift for writing !! Theres alot of anger almost ( tongue in cheek kind that is) its most times horribly wonderful to read !!!I hope I do not appear to devilish to our “hunter haters” in the post here, but I am off hunting for the weekend, hope to get one more chance to call a bull elk in ( I’ve had two foiled attempts earlier, yep they figured me out !!!), but a cow will do just as well.
CJ I feel no sense of wrong doing when I hunt, there is no assurance that I will kill something, it is up to the animal to make the fatal mistake, and up to me to make non ! How long has it been sense you have been out there in the hills ? I dont need to look into an animal’s eyes to see God, He is on every blade of grass, the breeze, everywhere, and I dont know about your Creator, but mines fine with me hunting ! To each his own !

My cat Sparklemonkey drinks flouride like a fish. I keep warning him it’s going to give him vapor trails…but….he won’t listen. Sparklemonkey controls my thoughts ...and my computer. He only let’s me listen to Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. I told him, I want to listen to Rush Limbaugh, but darn that Sparklemonkey…he says it’ll give me gas!

Bluedog, it’s hard to say this but why bother with these sociopaths. There has not been one intelligent word out of any of them. I’m a hunter…but I refuse to use a gun or bow. I use only ballpeen hammers. There’s a whole group of us that hunt in packs. (for the smaller stuff…like pheasants…we use wooden spoons)
We chase them down (on foot..no motorized vehicles) and just beat them stupid. It’s great way to get back to nature.

Brent/Billy: Its easy to spot a sociopath. Especially a self-righteous sociopath. They always, always try to win, even if they’ve lost!
