Comments on: Bigfork School District up Against Tough Case

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. The school is going to lose big on this.  The response indicated that no one knew the basic proper first aid methods for such an incident.  No one knew how to use the defib, and it wasn’t even on the field as it should have been.

“It can’t happen here” is no substitute for proper training.

Incredibly sad situation.

I know how much stress this has caused the family (my family to be exact) and I know that I would not wish that upon anyone, I think Bob and Troy are right to pursue this as it may help to save other football players lives, as well as other sports players in general.

May you rest in ever-long peace Jeff, we miss you, and we will try to help others not fall to the same circumstance.
