Winter storms now get names because of social media
Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), accuse someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail webmaster [at] flatheadbeacon.com.

You have got to be kidding me!!!! We are naming a 3-5 inch snow storm “BRUTUS”... what will
a real snow storm be called, “GOLIATH”;;;“ARMENGEON”....or how about. “THE SECOND
COMING”. These meterologists have way too much time on their hands and way to little to do.
I wonder how many taxpayer dollars were spent to come up with the new name program for
crap that happens every damn year…MORON!!!!!!

Would be better if meteorologists spent their time complaining in the comments area on news sites.

No doubt they will reserve the name Rebel Rouser for the “big blow”.

@NPDXReporter I think I'll start strategically calling it "pre-lunch" too, and then "forget" to eat my real lunch later. #dessertforlunch
