Comments on: Citizen Journalism

Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. The views expressed in the comments section do not reflect those of the Beacon.

You have to be smoking something really good! You must be one of those “superior” people who has been “trained” to report the news. WOW! Tell people what happened. That has to be pretty tough. Ones qualifications must be pretty much in order to be able to do that. I am going to have to re-evaluate my respect level for reporters. I suddenly feel like I have short-changed Amanpour(who can do no more than tell us what America has done wrong in any given situation). You talk about how you “sort of hoped Wurzelbacher’s ill begotten celebrity would rightfully dissipate, and he would have no choice but to sink back into obscurity in 2009”. Well it’s YOUR brother reporters and fellow Dems who elevated his status! You arrogant Bas#$%*s are reaping what you sowed. Wurzelbacher can’t do any worse than your highly enlightened brother whose bias is just as obvious. Enjoy what the rest of America has had to deal with except from the other side of the coin.

Oh and lest I forget in response to your comment: “as a Montana reporter who has learned how difficult it is to accurately understand and explain the Kalispell city budget” I would like to quote one of America’s Iconic actors of the late 20th/21 century “a man should know his limitations.“
