Good thing Wild Bill called upon Ed Bangs to lend some credability to his story. His “coffee shop survey” certainly adds words to the piece, but little else. I for one do not view wolves as “large german sheppards” any more than I view mountain lions as a large house kitty. They are a large, efficent predator that needs control as every other animal does when it exceeds scientifically determined carrying capacity. I think Wild Bill has a bit more of a sensitive side toward these carnivores than his name would suggest. When the state issues it’s wolf tags, my wager is that we will see a large interest in collecting a wolf hide. I intend to be one of the first.

I appreciate the unbiased report on the fate of the wolf.  I guess I am one of those on the side of the wolf.  I am not a hunter but do not judge those who do hunt, provided the animal is going to be consumed.  Trophy hunting is a despicable act and I question the morals and conscience of those who hunt for ‘the fun of it’ or sport. Some people will say it’s splitting hairs, consumption or sport.  There is a difference - I know them personally.
