Comments on: Congress Frets as its Ratings Plummet
Let’s be civil. The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail editor [at] flatheadbeacon.com. I can tell you why people are so completely disgusted with congress:
1) The Bush administration has committed war crimes (as most recently substatiated by the Intl Committee for the Red Cross)
2) The Bush administration has violated blatantly and willfully the Constitution of the United States.
3) The Bush administration has led the United States into a folly war based on false information and lies that has now created a bill that is owed by every American citizen of nearly $50,000 of debt and cost thousands of lives.
4) The Bush administration has presided over the decimation of the value of the American dollar in comparison to other currencies that have since become more powerful while the United States is now the largest debtor nation the world has ever seen.
5) The Bush administration has corrupted the judicial system of the United States so that justice is served often based on political affiliation.
etc etc etc
AND CONGRESS HAS DONE NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO STOP THIS!
We are seeing our nation destroyed in a short matter of years and Congress has become so passive and corrupt itself that they stand by and only appease and accommodate the dismantling of the nation. They must realize that the 28 percent that still support Bush are either ignorant or corrupt themselves. They should not be afraid of the most corrupt and incompetent—and now most unpopular—presidency in the history of America. They must perform their Consitutional duties and hold hearings of impeachment. They need to follow the Constitution and maybe—then maybe—in time—we the American people will not hold them in contempt as accomplices to the crimes of the Bush administration.
