Comments on: County to Pursue Interim Zoning for Doughnut

“Representation… that’s the whole issue for me.” says Dupont.
Dupont is lying, and here are the reasons:
1) Columbia Falls has the exact same interlocal agreement as Whitefish and he is itching to tear that up.
2) When he conducted his survey of “residents”—he purposely left out nearly 50% of the people who are residents of the donut out of his survey.
3) Dupont and the other Councilors have come out against local representation for the donut residents like exists in other places in the County.
As you obviously don’t really care about real representation Mr. Dupont, what really is this about?

The Flathead County commission wasn’t concerned about “Representation” when they rewarded the Lakeside Neighborhood Plan group for their “secret” meetings and “members only” web-site by adopting the new plan even though most property owners in the area had no “Representation” in it’s preparation.
As long as property owners in the county continue to allow themselves to be abused by local governments in what is jokingly referred to as “Planning”, it makes no difference which local government is telling us how we can’t use our own private property.
