Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. We don’t always have someone moderating comments, so we ask for your help: If you see a comment that violates these ground rules, or you simply deem it offensive, please e-mail webmaster [at] flatheadbeacon.com.

As a licienced heating and cooling contractor, I understand the importance of having your furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and other gas fired appliances serviced. This service should include a full inspection, for code safety, by a highly trained technican. It is amazing the lack of education on this deadly gas to the general public. I feel so bad for this family and my heart goes out to them; for I have children also,15,11,7. I realize that a 17yr old can be very responsable, but I have a problem with instructing a unqualified person to put a bandade on a problem that could have been avoided by calling somebody that was experienced. We can not put a price tag on safety. Please forgive me if this sounds contemptuous. This is not the point that I am driving home. Our prayers are with this family.
May we all have save holidays.

God bless,
Ed
