Why in the world would anyone want to go through all the hassle of having a custom home built?

As a builder/framing contractor, I have never had the privilege to work with Len Ford, however, in the
Flathead Valley the building community is still rather small and as such you hear all sorts of
scuttlebutt circulated about the various Builders and General Contractors. I tend not to put too much
stock in what’s said, but in Len Ford’s case, what’s not been said is what first got my attention.
Ford Construction was the only builder I had never heard any negative comment made about from
within the trades. Even before I ever walked through a house Len Ford was building I heard that
many of his guys had been with him for nine or more years. As a tradesman, that speaks volumes.
Not just about the business, but about the man behind the company. It says that he takes care of
those who take care of him and his business. For a customer, this translates to quality and peace
of mind. Not just in what you can see, but more importantly, that which you can’t.

Another key component that has made many of Ford’s projects stand out is the wonderful creativity
of Millette Architecture. As with Len Ford, I personally have never had the privilege to build one of
Duie Millette’s creative masterpieces. He does a superb job of designing a Craftsmen style house
with a Montana flair.

Custom Homes….don’t leave “home” without an AIA person in your employment. My former
father in law (deceased) was a top shelf AIA an if anyone who is going to spend the $$$ to
build a custom house/home…..bye all means get a good AIA…..you won’t regret it one bit.
