This is very disturbing. Not surprising, but certainly disturbing. Follow the money - how much did Swank And D.A. Davidson contribute to the GOP in MT? To fund this sort of cronyism but ignore the voters’ wishes re: CHIP is outrageous. But then again, they are Republicans. Big Business over the common man every time. Swank bought a contaminated site and the cleanup is more expensive than thought. So what? I once bought a car that turned out to be a $ pit; did I go to the gov’t for help? Of course not. Deal with it Swank; you can afford it.

Swank Construction, Dean Swank, and family have donated $25,844 over the years to Montana Republican Party efforts, between party, local, state and federal campaign contributions as per www.followthemoney.org and www.opensecrets.org Senator Barkus a recipient of some of their funds, brought forward the amendment, all the while saying we don’t have the money to fund 15,000 uninsured children as 70% of the voters requested. Call 406-444-4800 and let Senator Barkus know your thoughts today.

so by your logic some one who bought some land in the libby area that is contaminated with vermiculite should also have to pay for that clean up.
