SO…...what did this study cost to count the Wolves??? Talk about a waste of money? The long run is the deer, elk, horses, sheep, and the family dog…..will be running for ever.I am for some wolves…....just don’t think Montana & Idaho have to carry the burden alone. There are plenty of other states that had Wolves back around the late 1800’s…...if the population of Wolves was shared by other states…...the main states now….could reduce the total number needed for a so called viable population…......that from the evidence in the deer & elk populations are plunging in many areas…...due to wolf predation and finding new fields to call home.
With federal wildlife management killing way more than hunters did/do…..what does that tell you all ??? The total population of 1650…......is a total estimated GUESS….as the wolves can pack up & travel without contacting the local AAA for road conditions in a new area.
SO…....trap some of the population in Montana & Idaho…and give em a free trip to: Iowa, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Texas, Arkansas, Maine, Upstate New York, West Virginia, etc….they have huge deer herds than need managment from a tier #1 predator too.
The way deer & elk herds are getting hammered by hard winters & then the Wolf….its going to ruin the hunting future for Montana & Idaho. The total economic loss to these 2 state is going to be un-real…....an 10 years from now…..forget going on a hunting trip in Monana….....back to shoot, shovel, & shut up…...rather than share wolves with other wolf free states???
