Comments on: DPHHS Director Defends Agency’s Handling of Abuse Case

This story is getting better every time. You basically have the Director of DPHHS stating that neither she nor her agency have any interest in Due Process. The situation is very simple, really: 1) Investigation occurs; 2) Allegations are levied; 3) Appeal is allowed; 4) Decision is made.

DPHHS is letting us all know that if we are in the same position as Mr. Perkins, you can forget about your Constitutional right to Due Process. Moreover, if the “allegations” were as bad as Andree Larose is making them out to be, why didn’t DPHHS follow up? They had 2 months to conduct an investigation and come up with “Substantiated Allegations.“ But after a year they didn’t have time to present their evidence? Something stinks here, folks.
