I wouldn’t call stopping in Butte and Missoula campaigning “throughout the state”.  Bill’s I-15 day trip barely qualifies.  Were a candidate to go to Plentywood, Lewistown and Kalispell in a day.  That I could buy.

But the real reason I comment is the shoeshine kerfuffle.  Let’s assume that Mr. Faulkner of Butte is a white guy.  I know, it’s a huge stretch.  Now, if I was a black guy running for President, would I want to have preserved for posterity, and the use by scads of disengenuous 527 groups out there, a photographic record of a reversal of racial stereotypes?

I think not.
