Comments on: FWP Announces Record Year for Grizzly Relocations

It is so sad that we can’t find a better way to manage human interactions with wild animals other than mainly trapping, relocating and killing them. Capturing the bears is not without incidents of injuries and suffering. In the case of killing 2 mother bears and taking the cubs with the hope of placing them in zoos, the bond between mother and cubs is so strong, that is really sad. Whatever happens to the cubs, they will be missing their moms and removed from their natural life in the wild. I’m sure everyone is trying their best and it is being done for public safety, but to make it sound like it’s acceptable for the animals I think is a stretch. It would be good to hear about work that is being done to continue seeking other options and find more humane and sustainable solutions.
