At the “trough” again. It seems that GPI must have some inside contract with some FAA
officials…as they sure don’t seem to have trouble getting funds for any reason. The amount of
FAA dollars & the famous “grants” all from the US Taxpayer bank account which in the
red…one cannot help but comment about the dollars GPI seems able to spend without any
imput from anyone except government officials. Cindi must have some strong “contacts”.

Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program is the same money trough paid for by
the users of the airways.  No taxes from your income or property tax…. all comes from aviation gas
and user fees.  (Some may call that tax… but its ALL for airport use…. it can’t buy a fisheries in
Alaska for example of recent pork in the income tax bill)

Same monies that the CIty Airport will have if the voters are smart enough to see through Quiet Skies
and the airport detractors.  This kind of money is available to aviation and provides JOBS JOBS
JOBS…. both for smart GPI and hopefully for smart Kalispell City.  Those funds are there for those
airports that want to use them.

The only strings…. they have to act like a real airport.!

The “post security experience” will include an area for passengers, waiting to depart, to have a
drink and probably watch the game. Nice. However, while they and non drinkers wait, they will no
longer be able to buy that last minute huckleberry taffy or other Made in Montana gift. How
about a book about Glacier Park or a magazine to read on the plane? Delayed flights are often
endured by shopping in the secured area gift shops. Nice income source and an important amenity
for the inconvenienced traveler. Surely there’s a board member with some retail experience and
traveler experience that can explain this omission. Concession and rental space income is big.
You are now reducing it.

It is exciting to see the airport grow.  Given the Flatheads status, potential, and location,
this is a much needed addition (arguably not big enough) for easy flow of people coming and
going to this valley.  This is a beautiful place to live… Its nice to see people from all over
the nation and world coming to see the beauty and attractions of the valley.

@djtabish You may have $10, but I have the fleeting hope that I'll be a millionaire without having to do any work for it. #lazy
