Comments on: Growing Church Purchases Second Theater

Let’s be civil. Hey Kalispell, call me and let me know when you’ve thinned out all these churches and made room for some culture.

Agreed!  It’s great they’re filling up empty bldgs, but hasn’t the time come for these churches to start paying taxes?  Enough is enough.

Just what Kalispell needs—a bunch of fundietards that pay no taxes and contribute nothing to the local culture!

The Liberty and Strand were vacant for quite a while. There was plenty of time for someone who was truly interested in bringing a different venue to the Strand and certainly to the Liberty as it stood empty an additional 22 months beyond when the Strand was occupied by Fresh Life Church.

Whether or not the commentators realize how either a non-profit or place of worship are exempt from certain taxes - doesn’t matter. Fresh Life is contributing to our economy by heating and illuminating these 2 buildings. By facilitating the 4 services each week - planning and serving people and children requires spending $ in our area stores and vendors to supply the buildings with office equipment and supplies, cleaning and restroom supplies, children’s activities and items that are served by the coffee cart at the services.

As for providing culture; for some, attending a place of worship and fellowship IS engaging in a cultural event. It is an event that is intimately interwoven in the fabric of my life and that of my family and friends.

For those that haven’t taken the opportunity to experience what is offered at Fresh Life, it is open to all. You might be surprised - the music is current, relevant and very diverse, depending on when one attends.

And - I find myself venturing into many downtown businesses that I would not have noticed had it not been for attending Fresh Life…using the Strand and Liberty buildings, is the ultimate in restoring and rejuvenating interest in our treasured downtown area.

Let it happen. We need an alternative to the mainstream so called Christian congregations.
The mainstream war worshiping So Called Christians are supporting genocide. And if they aren’t, I haven’t heard them.
I hope this new congegation will follow the example of Jesus in exposing the corruption of power by followers of Satan.
