ANALYSIS: 2010 Congressional candidates
Let’s be civil.
The Flathead Beacon encourages vigorous discussion and lively debate, but we will delete comments that attack other readers, make accusations we can’t verify, stray too far off topic, criticize local businesses (call them if you have a problem), convict someone of a crime, use profanity or are simply judged to be in bad taste. Would the GOP please give us a better candidate than RINO Rehberg? How about a man of reason? A man who defends unapologetically liberty, individual, rights, and laissez-faire capitalism.

READERS RATED THIS COMMENT:

On September 11, Gernant called on McDonald to: “drop his bid for a single payer health care system and support President Obama’s plan”.

On September 12, McDonald did just that when he sent out an email in reaction to Obama’s appeal for health care reform stating: “President Obama’s plan will improve coverage for those that already have it and provide affordable coverage to those who don’t.  He argued that we shouldn’t live in a country where there are cures to diseases that many Americans can’t access because they simply can’t afford them. I couldn’t agree more.”

“I couldn’t agree more.” Yet on September 14, Gernant’s reaction to McDonald’s support of the Obama health care plan was to lash out with: “Before any utterance of support or taking me up on my request that we unite around the President, Dennis McDonald felt it was more important to send out a fundraising email in the middle of the night,”

Unlike Gernant, I haven’t gone to law school in Washington DC, but “I couldn’t agree more” sounds a lot like an ‘utterance of support’ to me. If that isn’t an endorsement, what is?
