We pay twice as much for our health care as other nations and insure less people. I wish this article would have also talked about the cost cutting measures the new bill will create.

Only government’s low costs can fix health care.
Sales tax funded Public Option care woud be free with no restrictions primary, inpatient, outpatient, long-term, mental, ophthalmology and dentistry including medications.
If you are in the United States and you show up for Public Option care it would be given free.
If all federal, state, and local government employees and care recipients including Medicare and Medicaid were switched to Public Option health care costs would be cut in half saving $1trillion annually.
States could get out of paying for or being involved in health care.
Employers could optout of paying for or being involved with health care which employees would receive for free from the Public Option.

Everyone could choose, either Free Public Option care from government hospitals, or users could continue to purchase private insurance and receive private care from private hospitals.

The govt doesn’t have to make money. How can the insurance companies compete with the govt. If you don’t have to worry about losing money, you won’t have competition. Lack of common sense bill watson

The only thing Obama, his cabinet, and this Congress has done today is bring shame upon themselves. This legislation is epic in its assumptions and its lies, and it represents the epitome of a government gone wrong. It does not represent the American people, the American dream, or the American ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It represents a government out of control.

Well…m..the main thing I worry about is…..run away fraud??? Look at Medicare now…...the government is being ripped off by con men with a computer, the medical code numbers, billed for some phony service? This is being done and it takes years for the Feds to catch…..a few people?
So how is this new medical service going to be different? Just more open doors for crooks to rip off some office clerk in D.C. It won’t just give the crooks more doors to walk in an steal $$$$.

Who do you all think has been paying all along for all the uninsured that go and get free medical care, have babies, get food stamps , rent subsidies etc…..the working tax payers.

Whitefish, who is going to pay for all of this? Me and you through hihger taxes. It is a flat out lie to think that people making over 200K are the only ones that will be taxed extra. Try 35K and higher. It is the only reality.
